This She Reads Truth Study Bundle includes:

These Study Books include daily readings from all four Gospels, which tell the story of the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

Matthew

Who is Jesus? Who was He to those who knew Him and lived alongside him? Matthew’s Gospel answers this question. Matthew was a Jewish tax collector whom Jesus called to become one of His apostles. Matthew’s very life was transformed by what Jesus taught, but even more by what Jesus did—died and rose again. Penned under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit by a Jewish man to a Jewish audience, Matthew writes to persuade his readers to believe that Jesus wasn’t just a man, but was the promised Messiah his people longed for. Though Matthew was not the earliest Gospel to be written, it is often the first one people read since it kicks off the New Testament. And it is a great way to begin because one of Matthew’s chief goals is to answer the most important question anyone can ask: Who is Jesus? Join us in this four week study of Matthew: This Is Jesus as we read together about the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the world.

Mark

Of the four Gospels, Mark presents the most down-to-earth portrait of Jesus’s life. The fast-paced narrative emphasizes both His humanity and His divinity, showing our Savior as both the Son of Man and the divine Son of God.

Over three weeks, we’ll follow Jesus from His baptism in the Jordan River to His cross at Calvary. Along the way, we’ll marvel at His compassion, power, and authority as He performs miracles and transforms the lives of the men and women He encounters. Finally, we’ll arrive at Resurrection Sunday with a deeper understanding of Christ’s once-for-all sacrifice that secures our salvation.

Luke

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.” This is the message of the Gospel of Luke, a detailed account of the life and ministry of Jesus, from His birth in Bethlehem to His ascension into heaven. As we read through this five-week plan, pay close attention to Jesus seeking out the marginalized and engaging the religious leaders of the day. Watch Him minister in the power of the Holy Spirit, praying at key points in the narrative. Listen as He teaches parables about the kingdom of God, confounding the conceited and bringing hope to the humble. Experience afresh the wonder and joy of the in-breaking of God’s kingdom through Jesus, friend of sinners and Savior of the world.

John

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Of all the New Testament books, the Gospel of John most clearly teaches the divinity of Christ. John emphasizes Jesus’s identity as the Son of God and His invitation for us to respond in faith.

In this five-week study, we’ll read how John explores Jesus’s relationship with God the Father. We’ll see how John’s Gospel points to Jesus’s fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy, festivals, and institutions, presents Jesus as the new center of worship for God’s people, and details Jesus’s interactions with those who doubted and believed in His identity. Join us as we respond to Jesus’s invitation to “come and see” that He truly is the Son of God!

  • A look at the question “Who was John?”
  • An exploration of the use of “the Word” in Scripture
  • An overview of Jesus’s seven “I Am” statements with Old Testament connections
